The plan is to release ‘Loveless’, ‘Reykjavik’, ‘Fortified’, and ‘Crane’ online leading up to this event! We’re sad the Mod Club video release party (for ‘Loveless’ & ‘Reykjavik’) was cancelled but super excited for this new night in August!

Mod Club Theatre has cancelled and postponed several events including our scheduled video release party for May.25th! We’ll have a new venue and date set soon! Thanks everyone!

Last summer we originally shot a zombie video for the song ‘Fortified’. We ran into massive editing problems and were facing multiple re-shoots etc. Sim just finished the main edit using that footage for the song ‘Rekyjavik’ instead and it’s works like a charm! Super excited to shoot green screen pick ups this week and then it’s a wrap!

It’s definitely been an interesting time for us since we started this band. Writing, recording the album with Boz Boorer in Portugal (2010), mixing, mastering, and playing shows in 2011 was productive although we started to lose momentum towards the end of the year. Frustration and the enormous cost of being an indie band was taking it’s toll. Also,  we (Erin & Sim) broke up as a couple after being together for four years. 2012 was basically a write off with the exception of signing to Aporia Records. Well, we’re over the break up and excited to be recording, rehearsing, shooting videos, and basically becoming a band again! Lots of good news coming soon! Until then…

The data has been retrieved from our broken hard drive at last! Super relieved and boy did we ever learn our lesson! Back up everything! Twice! Trust us!

We finally dropped off our broken hard drive to a data recovery company. Estimated cost = $1000.00! What can you do but laugh (with perhaps a single tear)!?! Sim actually laughed at first but that quickly ended after the initial news sunk in! What’s the moral of the story? Back up everything you own! We currently now own three hard drives.

Thankfully the ‘Loveless’ music video was still in the Canon EOS 5D Mark II when the drive tipped over. The edit is finished but we still need to insert some background footage from the broken drive and we’ll release it finally!

In other news, March.3rd is booked for the ‘Vagabond’ shoot! This is the song we wrote as a tribute to Toronto’s mysterious music writer Lonely Vagabond. Super excited to get this out in the world! Date set for the end of March for ‘Fortified’. One video a month until we get through the entire album.

Boz Boorer is confirmed to produce the sophomore album in Toronto in early fall. Details are being worked out right now. We have around 20 new demos to date and are looking at writing at least 10 more before we start selecting the tracks for the EP vs. the LP!

We basically shut everything band related down for the holidays! Had a ton of Christmas dinners/parties and also managed to watch Elf, Just Friends, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (both versions), Scrooged, and A Christmas Story! Tomorrow night = big New Year’s house party with friends! Here are some stills from a last minute show we played at the Horseshoe Tavern on Dec.6th! Happy New Year everyone! See you in 2013!
